Testimonial from Mitchell Services' Josh Bryant

At Mitchell Services, we have used myosh since 2019 and our experience has been consistently positive. In simple terms, it works. We have not had downtime issues, and performance stays solid even when people are jumping on at the start or end of shift. We also load a lot of images and field observations into the system (including critical control observations and investigation attachments) and it remains responsive.
What has set myosh apart for us is the partnership and flexibility. We deliberately chose a platform that we could configure ourselves, because our work changes and the system needs to keep up. We regularly adjust fields, questions, and forms based on frontline feedback and we can do it quickly without waiting on a developer. Where we have needed deeper changes, the myosh team has worked with us in a genuinely collaborative way, including direct access to senior people when it mattered.
We have used the platform to support major initiatives like Critical Risk Management and Operational Learning. That includes keeping critical controls “alive” by linking risk, controls, performance expectations, and verification activity in the field. For us, operational learning is not scalable without a system like this. You can do learning well in pockets, but you cannot do it consistently across sites, crews, and leaders unless the information is easy to capture, easy to find, and transparent for everyone.  A key part of the relationship has been myosh leaning into contemporary safety thinking with us. They have taken the time to understand concepts like Human and Organisational Performance and Energy-Based Safety analysis, then worked with us to reflect those ideas in how the platform is configured and used. Importantly, they do not keep those improvements “client-specific”. When something works, they look for ways to make it available to other customers as well.  We also export data to support analysis and learning, including using AI tools to query themes and trends. Integration has been straightforward for us, including exporting data when we need to and connecting to other systems where it adds value.
We saw the benefits of this clearly when we acquired Deepcore Drilling. They adopted the system quickly because the value was obvious, not just from a risk and compliance perspective, but operationally as well. People could see what was happening, find information easily, and trust that what they needed was there.  No software is perfect. The rules engine for critical risks is powerful but takes a bit of learning, and the out-of-the-box incident report PDF is not always client-ready, so we produce our formal reports in Word. Neither of those are deal-breakers, and overall the value has been strong, including transparent pricing when developer support is needed.
Our collaboration with myosh has supported outcomes we are proud of, including being awarded Australian Institute of Health & Safety HSE Team of the Year in 2023. If you want a system that is stable, configurable, and backed by a team that will work with you (not just sell you licences), we would recommend it.
