Eight winners were honoured across seven award categories at the 2025 WorkSafe Awards for their commitment to improve workplace health and safety or determination to return to work following an injury.
The Return to Work Achievement award was awarded jointly to Maree McLean of St Mary’s Primary School and Dennis Gabriel of Yarrawonga Riverlands Tourist Park.
The Occupational Health and Safety Leadership and Achievement award went to Seymour Whyte Constructions for its work on the Healesville‑Koo Wee Rup Road upgrade project.
Natural Growth Partners received the Workplace Health and Safety Solution of the Year award for its Tree Coach solution.
Manor Lakes Community Learning Centre took out the Excellence in Preventing and Managing Psychosocial Risk award, while Warakirri Cropping was commended for its Farm Safety Solution.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital received the Leading Return to Work Practice award.
Manny Mason was named Health and Safety Representative of the Year.
Tracey Browne from Australian Industry Group was commended for Outstanding Leadership and Contribution to Health and Safety.
WorkSafe Chief Executive Officer Cathy Henderson stated,
"The quality of this year’s entries was outstanding and I want to congratulate all of our finalists along with the worthy award winners. It’s inspiring to hear stories of resilience from those who have returned to work after injury and see the meaningful contribution of those dedicated to protecting the health and safety of their colleagues and workers across Victoria."
