Client Release Notes for Viking v2025.02.0 (deployed 09/01/2025)

Enhancements

• Changes have been implemented to allow forms to be restricted from drop-down visibility to specific groups and hierarchies. So instead of the option being “Do not display in Forms dropdown” in access control of the form editor, the options provided now are “Display”, “Do not display” and “Restrict by group and hierarchy”.
• Descriptive error messages are displayed for Parent/Child COMBOBOX fields in cases where a dependent value in the child COMBOBOX is being updated and the parent value is archived.
• For multi valued fields such as COMBOBOX, prevent duplicate options from being created if there is an existing active or archived option with the same name. Duplicate options are also prevented when importing options or importing records with multi valued type fields and the options to either "Import the record and automatically create the unrecognized option as a new option" or "Import the record, automatically create the unrecognized option and mark it [ARCHIVED]" are selected.

Support

• Issue with display of risk matrix caused when copying and pasting Excel tables to “Consequence” and “Likelihood” columns in the risk matrix editor has been corrected.
• When the type of questionnaire field used in a workflow step's visibility condition is changed, ensure that it is automatically removed to prevent occurrence of validation errors.
• Fix for Viking data to correct the incorrect attachment link to records caused by a previous task.
• Fix null pointer error thrown when saving a COMBOBOX field which has “lazy loading” enabled.
• Correct issue of incorrect new record being opened the first time a user logs in and uses the NEWRECORD link obtained from the “Share” tab in the form editor for a module with more than one form.
• Prevent error from occurring when accessing a user record.
